What is the price of this trip?
What does this cost include?
This cost includes flights, accommodation, transport, all breakfasts and one main meal a day (either lunch or dinner). We recommend that each missionary bring about AUD150-200 to cover the remaining meals. This cost does not include fees relating to visas, passports or any vaccinations. These will be the personal responsibility of each missionary.
Where does this trip depart from?
We offer two options for place of departure – Melbourne & Brisbane. If you would like to arrange travel through us from a different city, please contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We may be able to assist, but we cannot guarantee that it will be at the same cost as the standard trip packages from Melbourne or Brisbane.
What does this trip entail?
Part 1: We will take missionaries in the hundreds to run projects in schools, hospitals, half way houses, prisons and other spheres of community. There will be night rallies in three different regions of PNG.
Part 2: All missionaries will gather in the capital city and be a part of leadership events as well as nation-wide celebrations on Repentance Day.
Do I need my passport?
Yes, you will require a passport to travel. You are required to ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months after your return date (28th August 2017).
Will I need to apply for a visa?
As a general rule, Australians can apply for a visa upon arrival and do not need to make prior applications. However, each traveller is personally responsible for his or her own visa status and to abide by immigration regulations. We advise that you find out what the visa requirements are via the official PNG Immigration Dept website www.immigration.gov.pg/visa.html.
Will there be training prior to the trip?
Yes, there will be training organized in the lead up to the trip. Once you have successfully registered, you will be given more information concerning training and preparation.
Where can I apply?
How do I make payment?
Once you successfully apply for the trip via the Believe PNG website, we will send you a link to a registrations page, where you can make payment via credit card and select your flight route. You cannot complete your registration and secure your place on the trip without paying the deposit.
When is my deposit due?
A $500 deposit is required to secure your place on the trip. Due to the infrequency of commercial flights to PNG, we have only been able to secure a limited number of seats for this trip. As such, we encourage you to put down a deposit as soon as possible to book your place.
What is the age requirement for this trip?
Missionaries are required to be 18 and over.
